Robert Rodriguez e il produttore Alexander Rodnyansky hanno cominciato il casting di Machete Kills, secondo capitolo della trilogia interpretata da Danny Trejo che racconta le avventure del messicano Machete.
Al momento l’unico attore confermato è Trejo, ma Bloody Disgusting riporta che le protagoniste femminili del primo film, Jessica Alba (L’assassino che è in me) e Michelle Rodriguez (Resident Evil: Retribution) sono in trattative per entrare a far parte del cast del sequel.
In Machete Kills, Machete viene incaricato dal governo degli Stati Uniti d’America di portare a termine una missione impossibile: sconfiggere il capo di un cartello della droga, un miliardario eccentrico e trafficante d’armi, che vuole diffondere la guerra in tutto il mondo sfruttando un’arma nello spazio.
Le due attrici dovrebbero riprendere rispettivamente i ruoli di Sartana, un agente dell’immigrazione sulle tracce di Machete, dibattuta tra il dovere e quello che è giusto, »
