La Fox ha spostato al 2013 l'avvio della lavorazione del sequel superomistico per permettere a Jennifer Lawrence di girare il secondo capitolo di Hunger Games. La Twentieth Century Fox ha finalmente diffuso le prime informazioni sull'atteso sequel di X-Men: l'inizio. Lo studio ha intenzione di dare il via alla lavorazione del film al più presto, ma per evitare di entrare in conflitto con le riprese del secondo capitolo dell'Hunger Games franchise, che vede protagonista Jennifer Lawrence/alias Mystica, ha deciso di fissare il primo ciak per gennaio. Inizialmente la Fox puntava a girare il nuovo lungometraggio superomistico dedicato agli eroi mutanti di casa Marvel in autunno, ma in quel momento la Lawrence sarà impegnata sul set di Catching Fire, in produzione per la Lionsgate da agosto. »
