Lentamente, Mamie Gummer começa a ganhar algum currículo na televisão. A filha de Meryl Streep já teve participações especiais em diversas séries e recentemente protagonizou Off the Map, série cancelada pela ABC.
Enquanto aguarda decisões da CW sobre o piloto de First Cut, no qual participa, sabe-se agora que Mamie Gummer terá uma participação especial na terceira temporada de The Big C. Desconhecem-se detalhes sobre a sua participação, sabendo-se apenas que interpretará o papel de esposa da personagem interpretada por Hamish Linklater, que também terá uma participação especial na nova temporada.
Mami Gummer junta-se assim a um elevado número de actores convidados na nova temporada: Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise), Victor Garber (Alias), Allison Janney (The Help), Tammy Blanchard (Moneyball), Michael Chernus (Love and Other Drugs) e Brian D'Arcy James (Smash).
