Earlier this week, Fox ended weeks of speculation by cancelling Terra Nova after just one season. That report said Terra Nova producers will try shopping the show to other networks, and it seems they already may have a potential suitor in the online streaming giant Netflix.

Sources indicate it is still very early in the process, and both Netflix and 20th Century Fox Telelvision have not entered into formal negotiations yet. The move to a streaming service like Netflix does make sense, to a degree, since Terra Nova posted some of the highest gains on TV when DVR figures were calculated in. Terra Nova averaged a 3.6 rating and a 9 share in the Live+7 demographic, where DVR data comes into play, a 44% increase over its average live rating throughout the 13-episode first season.
