More news is coming in for NBC's latest genre show, "Midnight Sun". This time, though, it's the director we're talking about and not the cast. Read on for details.

According to Bloody Disgusting, genre veteran Brad Anderson (Session 9, Vanishing on 7th Street, Transsiberian, The Machinist) is to direct NBC's "Midnight Sun" pilot.

David Harbour (The Green Hornet) was recently added to the ensemble cast that also includes Julia Stiles (The Omen, "Dexter"), Emma Bell (Final Destination 5, Frozen, "The Walking Dead"), and Titus Welliver ("Lost", "Sons of Anarchy") as Bennett Maxwell, the charismatic and manipulative leader of Midnight Sun.

The thriller follows the mysterious disappearance of Midnight Sun, a group living on a cult-like commune in Alaska, and a female FBI cult specialist leading the investigation that uncovers a larger conspiracy.

Shooting begins this May in Vancouver.
