Me encantan los libros que recogen la memoria negra de Hollywood así como los grandes intentos fallidos de los últimos años. Proyectos que no terminan de cuajar pese a que su potencial es tremendo y que terminan como leyenda oscura del cine.
En breve se publicará ‘Tales From Development Hell: The Greatest Movies Never Made?’, recopilatorio realizado por David Hughes sobre las frsutrantes historias de preparación y caída de films que no llegaron a los cines pero que ahora se antojan como auténticas curiosidades: la adaptación de ‘Sandman’, ‘Crisis in the Hot Zone ‘ de Ridley Scott que se suspendió a día escasos de su rodaje, James Cameron y su ‘Fantastic Voyage’ o el ‘The Lord of the Rings’ de John Boorman (’Excalibur’).
