C’est finalement l’acteur Joel Kinnaman qui pourrait incarner le nouveau visage d’Alex J. Murphy, plus connu sous son nom de superflic d’acier, Robocop. C’est en tout cas ce que rapporte Deadline qui se trompe rarement.
Il semblerait que le réalisateur José Padilha n’ait pas réussi à trouver un accord avec Michael Fassbender qu’il aurait aimé voir dans le rôle. Joel Kinnaman a explosé dans la série The Killing (AMC), et il a ensuite enchainé des seconds rôles dans The Darkest Hour, Millenium – Les hommes qui n’aimaient pas les femmes et Sécurité Rapprochée. Il devrait aussi prochainement être la tête d’affiche de la série Arthur & Lancelot en tant que Lancelot, mais qui semble être finalement en Stand-By voire même abandonnée…
Robocop sera donc le premier grand rôle pour Joel Kinnaman, âgé de 33 ans. Je reconnais ne pas avoir vraiment suivi le parcours de cet acteur, »
