Jordin Sparks has said she was very lucky to have known the late Whitney Houston. Sparks - who co-stars with Houston in Sparkle - reflected on the 'I Have Nothing' singer's tragic death prior to attending the 5th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon. "She was an incredible woman and I was very, very blessed to get to know her for the short time that I did, but she was incredible," the singer told Access Hollywood. Sparks went on to predict that audiences will love the upcoming musical film Sparkle, which will mark Houston's final screen role. "It gives me a lot of excitement to be able to put this movie out because it was [Whitney's] baby, and she was so, so into it and so happy to be doing it," she explained.
