Foyle's War will return with a new series, ITV has confirmed. The three new two-hour films will be set shortly after the end of World War Two, the broadcaster revealed today. Michael Kitchen will return as Foyle, who will take on a new role as a Senior Intelligence Officer and become immersed in the world of espionage. The stories are all said to be based on true stories from 1946 onwards. "It's great to be wanted and a pleasure to be back," Kitchen said.
