Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and Michael Bay are reuniting for a sequel in the Transformers movie series, the producer told MTV News. “Michael’s going to direct it,” Di Bonaventura said Monday. “It will be in the summer of 2014.” Photos: Top 15 Grossing Threequels of All Time The first three Transformers films were a massive success for Paramount, earning more than $2.6 billion worldwide in unadjusted grosses, so it’s unsurprising that the studio would want to continue the series.
