Mark Piznarski is set to direct the CW pilot The Sellection, the Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain-written adaptation of the forthcoming series of books by Kiera Cass set 300 years in the future, which centers on a poor young woman who is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads. Wme-repped Piznarski directed the pilots for 4 series currently on the air, the CW’s Gossip Girl and 90210, USA’s In Plain Sight and ABC Family’s The Lying Game. His pilot directing credots also include cult favorite Everwood and Veronica Mars.
