We’re here in the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden for the 65th annual BAFTA awards and while the red carpet is being ironed and our colleagues fight off the cold anticipation is building for what should be an excellent evening.

Two of the films dominating the nominations are paeans to the magic of cinema with Michel HazanaviciusThe Artist and Martin Scorsese’s Hugo up for numerous awards though a particular favourite of ours here on HeyUGuys, Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, has been championed within the Academy and find itself up for Best Film, Director and a Supporting Actress nod for Carey Mulligan.

You can follow our coverage of the awards ceremony, with details of the winners as they are announced as well as other highlights from the Awards noted down before the BBC’s »
