Mel Gibson's Icon Productions has struck a deal with DirecTV and Fox Home Entertainment to premiere Get the Gringo on DirecTV starting May 1. The cable company will have an exclusive one-month window with the comedy, before it debuts on other VOD platforms later this summer. Fox Home Entertainment will also release Get the Gringo on Blu-ray and DVD later this year.

Adrian Grunberg directs Get the Gringo from a screenplay he co-wrote with Mel Gibson. The story centers on Driver (Mel Gibson), who crashes into the U.S./Mexico border wall during a high-speed chase, »
