A l'été 2007, TF1 proposait sur son antenne la première saison inédite de Heroes le samedi soir en prime time. Après un démarrage en fanfare, la série de Tim Kring voyait son public déserter si bien que pour la seconde saison, la fiction était priée de changer de case pour un horaire bien plus tardif. A l'issue de la diffusion de ces deux saisons, TF1 jetait l'éponge et revendait les droits de la série à France 4.
