How have there been so many previews for The Lady at this point? The movie doesn’t hit for almost another three months, but we’ve seen a teaser and two trailers; we won’t even get that many looks at The Dark Knight Rises by the time that one hits theaters. The latest trailer, which comes to us from Apple, isn’t any different from what’s been seen multiple times over — which is to say that I’m not terribly impressed by anything Luc Besson is selling us here. Michelle Yeoh and David Thewlis still look nice in their respective roles, if that means anything to you (it should), while I’m also digging the cinematography and expansive, varied locations. Otherwise, this looks like TV movie-level material from a guy who should’ve stuck to dangerous women and killer weapons.
