Finalmente Peter Jackson ha deciso di diffondere il primo trailer del suo The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, prima parte del prequel alla trilogia di Il Signore degli Anelli. Le immagini mostrano il protagonista Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) ed i nani che, ad un certo punto, si mettono anche a cantare. Il film si svolge 60 prima degli eventi narrati dalla trilogia e si concentra particolarmente sul personaggio dello zio di Frodo, Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman). Lo Hobbit sarà diviso in due parti (in uscita rispettivamente nel dicembre 2012 e 2013) e può contare su un cast composto da: Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Ken Stott, Graham McTavish, James Nesbitt, Aidan Turner, Jed Brophy, Cate Blanchett, Andy Serkis, Mikael Persbrant, Sylvester McCoy.
