Digital Spy readers have chosen The Muppet Christmas Carol as their favourite Christmas movie of all time. The 1994 family film puts a Muppet spin on Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, casting Michael Caine as miser Ebenezer Scrooge and Kermit the Frog as Bob Cratchit. More than 10,000 Digital Spy users took part in the Christmas poll, which saw The Muppet Christmas Carol narrowly triumph with 18.5% of votes ahead of Home Alone's 18.3%. Will Ferrell's 2003 comedy Elf charted in third place with 8.9%, Christmas classic It's a Wonderful Life was in fourth spot with 7.4% and action movie Die Hard, which takes place during the festive period, landed in fifth with 6.7%.
