After Margin Call garnered critical praise — and some awards attention here or there — Deadline reports that J.C. Chandor is planning his next feature, a man vs. nature film entitled All Is Lost. Plot specifics aren’t being dispensed as of right now, but Deadline notes that the story “takes place on the water.” Deep Blue Sea 2, anyone?

That being said, the real focus of the story is who he’s going after: Robert Redford. As it turns out, Chandor met the actor during 2011′s Sundance — when and where Margin Call premiered — and “was so taken by him that he wrote the movie around him”; he’s currently in talks. The lead is described as a “heroic character who braves the elements to survive,” which is earning comparison’s to the Redford-starring classic, Jeremiah Johnson.
