Ailing movie legend Dennis Hopper has finally got something to smile about as he battles divorce and cancer - the Easy Rider star is to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The actor will unveil the 2,403rd star in front of the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on 26 March.

Viggo Mortensen will be on hand to induct Hopper into the Walk of Fame.

Hopper, 73, is suffering from terminal prostate cancer and reportedly has just weeks to live, and in January, he filed for divorce from his wife Victoria Duffy, citing irreconcilable differences.

In February, he received a restraining order against Duffy after his doctor insisted her presence in the home they shared was "hampering his cancer care".
