In perhaps a preview of how this Sunday's Oscars could play out, 'Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire' and its stars Gabourey Sidibe (pictured above with co-star Mariah Carey) and Mo'Nique captured plenty of hearts and trophies at the 25th Film Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles on Friday. 'Precious' won five awards including Best Feature, Best Director (Lee Daniels), Best First Screenplay (Geoffrey Fletcher), Best Supporting Actress (Mo'Nique) and Best Actress (Sidibe). Jeff Bridges, meanwhile, scored the Best Actor award for 'Crazy Heart,' which was also named Best First Feature. Woody Harrelson ('The Messenger') captured the title of Best Supporting Actor. '500 Days of Summer' was declared the Best Screenplay. The event was a star-studded affair with celebs on hand such as Jodie Foster, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Taraji P Henson, Andy Garcia, Vera Farmiga, Lenny Kravitz, Roger Ebert, Olivia Wilde, Matt Dillon and more. »
