Director Guy Ritchie got an early birthday present on Monday after his girlfriend gave birth to a son.

The moviemaker's model partner Jacqui Ainsley delivered a baby boy in a London hospital - five days before Ritchie's 43rd birthday on Saturday.

The proud parents have not yet announced the tot's name.

The Sherlock Holmes director already has an 11-year-old son, Rocco, with Madonna, who he split from in 2008.

Ritchie began dating Ainsley last year.
