Rob Brydon's talkshow was more popular than Alan Carr's on Friday night, but could not match its first series opener, according to the latest overnight data. BBC Two's The Rob Brydon Show premiered with 1.61m (8.3%) between 10pm and 10.30pm, clashing with Alan Carr: Chatty Man which averaged 1.4m (7%) between 9.30pm and 10.30pm (+1: 229k). BBC One's My Family rallied to 3.99m (19.1%) at 9pm, after which another repeat of Miranda fetched 3.75m (18%). The One Show also improved to 3.09m (16.5%) at 7pm, before 2.66m (13.4%) chose The Good Cook at 7.30pm and A Question of Sport quizzed 2.62m (11.8%) at 8.30pm.
