Transformers: Dark of the Moon officially became the top movie at the box office this year when it earned an additional $47.1 million in its second weekend to bring its domestic total to $261.1 million. It thereby replaced The Hangover: Part II in the top spot. Two other new — and relatively low-cost — films also had solid performances. Horrible Bosses opened with $28.3 million, while Zookeeper debuted with $20.1 million. Nevertheless, those grosses weren’t nearly enough to prevent the overall box office from declining about 19 percent from the same weekend a year ago when Despicable Me debuted with $56.4 million
