"Nine" looks like a good bet to win the Golden Globe for best comedy/musical picture. Voters almost always go for successful musicals here ("Sweeney Todd," "Dreamgirls," "Walk the Line," "Chicago," "Moulin Rouge," "Evita"). But wait! They spurned "Mamma Mia" for "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" last year, but that tuner wasn't respected by film critics. "The Hangover" could be a threat, which is surprising. Usually, members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. don't take Yankee frat-boy comedies seriously. Globe voters didn't nominate "Knocked Up" or "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," but inside sources say members are toasting "The Hangover" with three cheers. We don't know yet what their reaction is to "It's Complicated." It's being screened for Hfpa members »
