Acclaimed boxing movie Rocky is set to hit the stage in Germany - as a musical.
The all-singing, all-dancing adaptation of Sylvester Stallone's 1976 film is expected to debut in Europe next spring before transferring to Broadway in 2013.
Producer Thomas Meehan tells the New York Times that Stallone will be an artistic partner and producer of the musical.
He says, "All I can say is that it’s a glorious score, telling an intimate relationship story. I think people will be really surprised."
