Calico Ghost Town is headed for the bigscreen.According to Variety, Allentown Productions, headed by documentary filmmaker James Moll, has acquired feature rights to Knott's Berry Farm's Calico Ghost Town and all the rides and original characters created for the theme park.Allentown director of development Chris W. King shepherded the concept with Moll, who will produce. Story's set in the Wild West at the turn of the century, centering on the boomtown gold mining town of Calico, which has been overrun by ghosts and evil supernatural creatures.At its peak, the real Calico had a population of 1,200 and more than 500 silver mines.
