In Bryan Singer's Superman Returns, the hero mysteriously vanished from Earth for five years - and it looks as though he'll be gone from the big screen for just as long.
A new list by Variety of upcoming Warner Bros blockbusters, between now and the end of 2011, makes no mention of a further Superman adventure.
