Miley Cyrus is teaming up with rocker Rob Thomas for her upcoming film The Last Song - the Matchbox Twenty frontman has agreed on a collaboration for the movie's soundtrack.
Cyrus, 16, recently praised the 37-year-old rocker, calling him a "genius" in a posting on Twitter.com.
And the Hannah Montana star was finally able to realise her dream of working with her idol after her movie boss approached Thomas with the request.
Thomas tells the New York Daily News, "My buddy Adam Shankman, who just directed Miley's movie, called me on the phone the other day and was like, ‘You have to write a song for this movie.' It was so funny." »
