British director Danny Boyle has reportedly been offered the chance to take charge of the next James Bond movie following his big win at last month's Oscars, according to U.K. reports.

The moviemaker took home the coveted Best Director prize at the recent Academy Awards for Slumdog Millionaire.

And now the win has reportedly encouraged 007 film chiefs to approach the star about helming the upcoming sequel to last year's Quantum of Solace.

A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Danny is being bombarded with offers from studios. He has been offered the chance to direct the 23rd Bond film by (Bond producer) Barbara (Broccoli). The Eon (productions) team love his vision and think it would work perfectly for the new look of Bond. Everyone on the Eon team thinks Danny would be the perfect addition to the Bond family." »
