Nicole Richie is not set to transform from Los Angeles princess to New York socialite anytime soon - her representative has denied she will guest star on hit U.S. show Gossip Girl.
Rumours circulated stating Lionel Richie's daughter had signed to make a string of appearances on the teen drama - which focuses on the lives of a group of Big Apple rich kids.
Richie proved her acting abilities after her role as a vicious cheerleader on TV action/comedy Chuck last October.
She was reportedly eyeing a similarly snooty role on the season finale of the series, slated to air in America later this year.
But Richie's representative has laughed off the reports, telling UsWeekly.com that the claims are "not true".
