A British film and TV awards ceremony has been rescued just a month after a major financial crisis forced organisers to scrap the show.

The Screen Nation Film and Television Awards, which honours black talent, were cancelled last month after one of the event's backers pulled out because of the global economic downturn.

The ceremony will now go ahead in conjunction with British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) at the academy's London headquarters on 7 February.
