Model Christie Brinkley looks set to be heading back to court after her ex-husband Peter Cook filed legal papers accusing her of contempt of court.

Brinkley and architect Cook spent last summer embroiled in a bitter public divorce battle, two years after they ended their 10-year marriage following his affair with his then 18-year-old assistant Diana Bianchi.

The former catwalk star was awarded sole custody of their two children - Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10 - with Cook granted weekly visits.

But Brinkley has been accused by Cook of breaking the terms of the custody agreement, by failing to hand over their son Jack's passport in time for a planned school trip to Egypt with his father in November - causing the boy to miss out on the whole trip.

He submitted papers to State Supreme Court Justice Mark Cohen on Tuesday, detailing the alleged breach of their agreement for Brinkley to provide Cook with Jack's passport by 19 November - three days before they were due to fly.

However, Brinkley's lawyer Peter Caronia has dismissed the allegations, branding them "baseless and really rather petty".

Caronia and Brinkley have until 17 February to answer the accusation in writing.
