Sci-fi film franchise "Star Wars" will be taking the stage in a major new musical show next year.

"Star Wars: A Musical Journey" has been put together by creator George Lucas' company, Lucasfilm, and composer John Williams.

The musical will be a retelling of the story with excerpts of the film and accompanied by 86 musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It is set to premiere in London's O2 arena on April 10 and will embark on a European tour afterwards.

And although the actors would be used to narrate the story, the show's producers emphasized that it would not be a stage musical. The six films have been edited down to fit the two-hour show.
