Doctor Who and Torchwood star John Barrowman has been forced to apologise after exposing himself during a live radio show and webcast.
The openly gay star was making an appearance on a BBC Radio 1 show on Monday night when he dropped his pants in front of presenters Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac.
Grimshaw asked the actor, "You're famous, we're told, for getting your willy out in interviews. Is this going to happen today?"
And Barrowman responded by asking whether the studio camera was on, and when told it was, he responded, "All right. I'll get it out for you then, no problem."
Barrowman then informed radio listeners, "I didn't take the whole thing out, but I got my fruit and nuts out. I can't believe I've just done that."
The pre-watershed broadcast went out live on the internet via the webcam in the studio.
Barrowman has now issued an apology, admitting he "went too far."
The statement reads: "I apologise for any offence I have caused. I was joining in the light-hearted banter of the show and went too far. I was wrong to do this and it will never happen again."
The controversy comes just weeks after funnyman Russell Brand quit his BBC Radio 2 show, following a barrage of complaints over a string of prank calls to Faulty Towers actor Andrew Sachs. The other presenter involved in the drama, Jonathan Ross, received a three-month suspension over the incident.
