None of the songs U2 penned under the guidance of producer Rick Rubin will appear on their new album. The Irish band's No Line On The Horizon LP is expected to be released in early 2009. Interscope-Geffen-a&M label chairman Jimmy Iovine revealed yesterday that the disc was just two songs away from completion. Commenting on the group's collaborations with Rubin, The Edge told Rolling Stone: "We actually laid all that stuff to one side.
