Most analysts agree that the Thanksgiving weekend could produce one of the biggest windfalls in history for the studios and theaters. Last weekend's winner, Twilight, is generally expected to remain at the top with about $25-35 million for the Friday-Sunday period, a drop of more than half from its opening weekend. But the Summit Entertainment phenomenon is expected to face a stiff challenge from the New Line/Warner Bros. romantic comedy Four Christmases. Disney's Bolt, which disappointed last weekend, could scamper back into the race with kids out of school for the holiday. The 20th Century Fox epic Australia is also expected to rank among the contenders. And there's also the latest James Bond thriller, Quantum of Solace, to reckon with as well as the third go-round in the Transporter series. In limited release, Focus Features Milk with Sean Penn is expected to pack the 35 theaters where it will be opening.

Note: Reviews of the latest Transporter film and Milk will appear here tomorrow (Thursday). »
