David Hasselhoff has a bizarre globe featuring images of himself - to show the impact he has made on the world.

The former Baywatch star claims the sculpture, which uses smaller images of himself to make up the countries, is ironic - but he insists his rise to fame has helped to solve some of the world's problems.

He says, "I have had a globe made with my face stretched across the ocean and little versions of myself forming the countries.

"At the top, it says 'saviour' in gold. But I was being ironic. Yes, I played a role in the fall of the Berlin Wall and on American culture. But not that big. It was a little joke. Although it's interesting to see your influence on the world translating into a globe."
