Hilary Swank is preparing to fly solo for the first time, in order to land her pilot's licence.
The actress took to the skies for lessons to prepare for her role as aviator Amelia Earhart in a new movie, but insurers banned her from flying alone, which meant she couldn't qualify for a licence.
But now the movie has wrapped, she can't wait to get back in the hotseat.
Swank says, "The fun part of my job is that I get to dive into the shoes of other people.
"It was exhilarating it was wonderful. I love to fly in general and getting there in cockpit was a lot of fun.
"For insurance reasons they wouldn't let me go up alone, and you have to go up alone to get your license. But I will do that."
