Latest: Jennifer Hudson's devastated sister has pleaded for the safe return of her seven-year-old son who has been missing since the fatal shooting of her mother and brother.
Julia Hudson attended a press conference in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday to make a impassioned plea for her young son, Julian King, to be returned to his family.
She says, "I don't care who you are, just let the baby go. I just want my son. He don't deserve this.
"I worked, so he was always with her (my mother), day in and day out. She did everything for him. She got him ready for school. She got him ready for bed. It hurts. We're in a state of shock. I don't know what else to do but pray."
Hudson added that she is devastated by the shootings, and told journalists how seeing her son alive and well will be the only thing to bring her comfort.
She adds, "My greatest fear has already happened. My greatest hope is for him to come back."
King was at the home of his grandmother Darnell Donerson, mother of Oscar-winner Hudson, when she was shot dead at her home on Friday. Hudson's brother Jason, 29, was also gunned down in the incident.
Julia Hudson's estranged husband William Balfour was taken into custody later the same day on suspicion of the double shooting.
Police launched a child abduction alert after quizzing Balfour, 27, over the whereabouts of Julia's missing son, and have reportedly called in the FBI to help track down the young boy.
Balfour has not been charged with any offence as WENN goes to press, but police spokeswoman Monique Bond said the deaths appeared to be connected to domestic abuse.
