Sean Penn wooed his wife Robin Wright Penn on their very first date, by making her laugh in a ridiculous outfit.
The husband-and-wife of twelve years are back together after a brief split earlier this year.
Wright Penn insists they are stronger than ever, and credits her first ever outing with the actor/director.
She says, "I walked in, the door was ajar. We were going to dinner. He said, 'I'll be right in'.
"Five minutes later, he came in wearing cowboy boots, a jock strap, a pit helmet and a bowtie on.
"I think that's probably why I'm with him, because I'd never seen that on a first date before."
