Robert De Niro and former James Bond director Martin Campbell have fallen out over "creative differences".
The actor has quit Campbell's Edge of Darkness, less than a month into shooting and just days after arriving on the set in Massachusetts.
A spokesman for De Niro says, "Sometimes things don't work out; it's called creative differences."
The movie legend was slated to play a clean-up agent opposite Mel Gibson in the drama, which is a revamp of a 1980s TV miniseries Campbell directed for the BBC.
The filmmaker is now hunting for a replacement for De Niro. »
