Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is to front a new advertising campaign for cosmetics giant Max Factor to celebrate its forthcoming centenary.
The Brazilian beauty signed on as spokesmodel this week (begs01Sep08), and Max Factor bosses insist her appointment was a "no-brainer".
Associate marketing director Bruce Katsman says, "She's the image of our high fashion consumer.
"It's not so much about her look, per se. She's rocked the runway so she's perceived as a great canvas. We think she does the same thing for makeup."
Gisele is delighted to be a part of Max Factor's 100th birthday celebrations, which will kick off next year.
She says, "I thought it was really cool to be a part of something so old. I can't believe something can exist for that long. For a business to stay alive for that long, it must be really good."
And the star ponders her own future, adding, "Imagine what I'd look at 100 years old?!"
