Holmes Wins Praise For Singing And Dancing Guest Stint

Katie Holmes' all-singing, all-dancing guest appearance on TV hit Eli Stone has been hailed by co-star Matt Letscher as "phenomenal".

The actress will appear in the U.S. comedy series as an attorney when the show returns to the air this autumn, and Letscher claims Holmes will stun audiences with her star turn on the show.

He tells People.com, "She does a song-and-dance number that is the best one we've ever done.

"We've done tons of (musical numbers), and she was just phenomenal."

And Letscher is sure Holmes would be welcome to return if she was offered another opportunity on the programme.

He says: "(Show bosses) have left it open. I think she had a great time, which made it easier. Everyone was welcoming and it couldn't have worked out better."

Letscher also echoed his fellow Eli Stone stars Natasha Henstridge and Jason Winston George's comments about Holmes' polite nature, adding: "She's the sweetest person in the world, down to earth, simple. She's just like anybody else. I met her daughter, and her husband (Tom Cruise) was on set. It was great."
