Actor Matthew McConaughey set a new personal record after completing the Nike + Human Race in his native Texas in less than 44 minutes at the weekend.
The sporty Fool's Gold star took part in the 10 kilometre (6.2 mile) global event in Austin on Sunday, raising money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, the World Wildlife Fund, and the United Nations Refugee Agency, NineMillion.org.
McConaughey crossed the finish line in less than 44 minutes - beating his previous personal best of 45, reports People.com.
The Nike + Human Race took place on the same day in 25 cities worldwide.
