NEW YORK -- Summit Entertainment has set its ensemble cast for Twilight, the vampire genre-bender that is one of the biggest bets for the nascent studio.

Peter Facinelli (Riding In Cars with Boys, Damages), Elizabeth Reaser (The Family Stone) and Jackson Rathbone (The O.C) have been cast as vampires opposite the two main characters. Nikki Reed (Lords of Dogtown) Ashley Greene (Shark) and Kellan Lutz (The Comeback) have also joined the cast. All will play vampires in the movie's Cullen family.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had previously been cast as the two leads in the film.

Twilight, a vampire tale that also contains strong elements of a high-school romance, tells the story of a girl (Stewart) who moves to a small town in Washington state to live with her father and is drawn to a mysterious classmate named Edward Cullen (Pattinson) who turns out to be a vampire. She then encounters the entire Cullen family, all of whom are creatures of the night.

Catherine Hardwicke will direct based on a script by Melissa Rosenberg.
