Paramount Vantage has pre-emptively picked up Playing House, a horror project that Scott Glosserman will direct and co-write with Macy Raymond, who penned the original short story that the film will be based on.

Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson's Contrafilm are producing along with Glosserman.

The plot revolves around a down-on-their-luck young couple who are preyed upon when they inhabit a seemingly deserted island mansion.

Chad Hamilton, Ben Cottner and Rachel Eggebeen are overseeing for Vantage.

Glosserman most recently co-wrote and directed the horror comedy Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, which had its premiere at last year's South by Southwest Film Festival. Anchor Bay recently released the movie theatrically.

Glosserman is repped by Endeavor and Nine Yards.
