TORONTO -- Canadian film production company M8 Entertainment said Wednesday it has signed a distribution agreement to handle international sales for the next five pictures from independent producer Odd Lot Entertainment. The arrangement, which will begin at the upcoming American Film Market, will see Montreal-based M8 drum up foreign sales for Odd Lot's The Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing, a romantic comedy starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. M8 Entertainment will also handle international sales and licensing on four films Odd Lot is producing under its Dark Lot genre label. These include The Horror Chronicles, a three-picture anthology to be sold as a package; supernatural thriller The Crevice, by Neal Marshall Stevens (Thirteen Ghosts); the sci-fi horror film Living Hell, to be written by Richard Jeffries (Cold Creek Manor); and Buried Alive, a contemporary version of the classic teen horror film by Art Monterastelli (The Hunted).
