NEW YORK -- Blockbuster movie maven Dean Devlin is trying his hand at television, landing an action movie with TNT. Devlin, whose credits include Independence Day, Godzilla and Stargate, will serve as executive producer on The Librarian through his Electric Entertainment banner. "I've never done a feature for television, and it seemed like an exciting idea," he said. "I was intrigued by the passion TNT had for this style of movie." Librarian centers on a cache of mythical objects secreted beneath the New York Public Library, including the Golden Fleece and the Ark of the Covenant. The title character must guard them against the forces of evil. No casting decisions have been made.
