Steve Zahn has been added to the cast of the independent feature Hating Her for writer-director Tom Bezucha and newly launched Idiom Films & Entertainment. The $10 million-budgeted project begins shooting next month. Zahn joins Selma Blair, Blythe Danner, Logan Marshall-Green, Bridget Moynahan, Donald Sutherland, Johnny Knoxville and Maura Tierney in the story of the Stones, a family that unites in a common cause when their favorite son (Knoxville) arrives home for the holidays with his uptight girlfriend (Moynahan). Overwhelmed by the hostile reception from the family, Moynahan's character begs her sister (Blair) to join her and lend emotional support, only to trigger more complications. Zahn will portray Ben Stone, who travels home to his family only to find himself in for a tumultuous holiday visit. Idiom president and managing partner Quay Hays is producing. Zahn, repped by Endeavor and Marsha McManus of LMRK, will next star opposite Eddie Murphy in Revolution Films' comedy Daddy Daycare and Lions Gate Films' Shattered Glass, starring Hayden Christensen. He was last seen onscreen in Columbia Pictures' comedy National Security with Martin Lawrence.
