Former Walt Disney Co. production executive Mark Vahradian has been named president at Warner Bros. Pictures-based Jerry Weintraub Prods. Vahradian left his Disney post in the summer after spending eight years at the studio, rising from creative executive to executive vp production. While there, he was involved in such pictures as Remember the Titans, Snow Dogs, A Civil Action and Enemy of the State. "Mark is a tremendous executive who has taste, great industry relationships and the ability to make a wide variety of pictures," JWP founder Jerry Weintraub said. "We have an ambitious slate of movies ahead of us, and I know Mark will be a key ingredient in getting them made. I'm happy to welcome him aboard."
